One code per section. Phones can't tell where they're sitting, so the code tells them.

Only the word “go” crosses the network. The show is already on every phone, and each one fires it against a clock synced to within a few milliseconds of the desk.

How it works

    Sync the clock first

    Each phone pings the room a dozen times and keeps only the fastest round trips, the ones that didn't sit in a queue. Their median gives the offset to server time.

    Cues fire on timestamps

    “Go” means “start at 21:04:07.250”, a moment a few seconds ahead. A message that arrives 800 ms late on crowded 4G still lights on the same frame as everyone else.

  3. 03

    Zones by QR code

    One code per section, so chases and waves can sweep the room. Effects only use the time, the section and a per-phone seed, so a late joiner picks up mid-cue.

    Screens stay on

    The Screen Wake Lock API holds the display awake and is re-requested whenever the page comes back into view. No app to install.
